I always find that writing the “About Me” portion of a profile is a tedious process. That’s why I like to start with a picture so you can have an image of the person behind the words. If a picture is worth 1000 words like they say, then I am off to a good start 🙂
On April 1st 2013, I embarked on a journey to the wonderful country of Guatemala. I didn’t know much about this country but I was eager to discover the culture and add new experiences to my life. So I packed up everything, hopelessly tried to recall the Spanish class I had taken in 6th grade, and moved on to my new life.
It’s amazing to see how you can change and adjust to a completely different style of life. While some things seem similar, I tried to look at everything through the eyes of a new-born – unbiased and without assumptions. I cherish all the stories and experiences I have gained over the past year, and that is what I wish to share with you wonderful people. (With plenty of pictures, of course!)
